Areas Of Specialization
While I work with clients on a variety of issues and challenges (including burnout, work/life balance, various forms of anxiety, life transitions, etc.), I am especially focused on supporting individuals with social anxiety, depression, and eating disorders/disordered eating.
While each of these issues can be present alone, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders often occur co-morbidly, and it is not uncommon for me to work with clients experiencing all three.
Social anxiety is a painful and isolating experience. It is a complicated struggle with many different factors at play, and often greatly misunderstood. While social anxiety can take time to work through, relief is possible and you can live a life where you are not a slave to your fears. There is hope.
Social Anxiety
Depression
Depression can be a black hole that robs you of interest in life, motivation, or the energy to engage in basic tasks of living. It is heavy, but it does not need to be held or navigated alone. Counselling offers you a space to process your feelings, explore the unique elements that may be contributing to your depression and, ultimately, find a way out.
Eating Disorders &
Disordered Eating
Eating disorders are complex illnesses and can emerge as a way to cope with traumatic or distressing life experiences. They are also very difficult to work through on your own. As someone who has experience in this field, I believe healing and recovery are possible and that counselling is an important component of that journey. Whether you have been formally diagnosed with an eating disorder or are self-identifying challenges in regards to your eating, exercise, or body image, I am here to support you.
