Welcome, I'm Brandy.

I'm so glad you are here.

I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and I have a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University.

I work in this field because I believe that healing is always possible, and I have seen firsthand the power that counselling can have in facilitating growth and change. Working in a space that allows me to create deep connections with people, and guide them towards a greater relationship with themselves, is a passion of mine. It is an honor to be invited into people’s hearts and lives and to walk alongside them on their journey.

My Philosophy

I believe deeply in the power of relationships and that it is in relationship that healing ultimately occurs. Being seen is a fundamental need of every person, and I strive to create a space where people can feel safe enough to share their truth and feel accepted for exactly who they are.

I believe that there is meaning in your struggles and regardless of what you have been through and are experiencing, you are not broken. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey of healing, every step of the way.

My Approach

My approach is client-centered, trauma informed, and deeply relational in nature. I believe in working with clients from a holistic lens, drawing from a variety of modalities to ensure that their unique needs are met. I also encourage clients to work with other practitioners who can compliment the work that we do in our sessions (such as Naturopaths, Dieticians, Medical Doctors, etc.) as I believe healing requires integration of all parts of ourselves.

The modalities that I primarily draw from in my work include: Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Mindfulness approaches. I tailor all sessions to the individual, and believe in finding ways of working that are best for each person I have the privilege of sitting with - whether that be incorporating art and creativity into sessions, spirituality, depth psychotherapy, or doing anxiety exposures together in the community. I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to healing, and I work with each person to find the different components that will make the biggest impact to them and their specific situation.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals (19+) who live in British Columbia, Canada. I offer in-person sessions at my office in North Vancouver as well as virtual sessions via Doxy.
